The Laredo is the entry-level Jeep Grand Cherokee trim. It has 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, fog lights, and keyless entry. Moving up to the Limited trim gets you a sunroof and a power liftgate, while the Trailhawk trim adds off-road features such as all-terrain tires, 18-inch wheels, and an off-road suspension. The Overland trim adds features such as 20-inch wheels and xenon headlights, and the high-end Summit trim comes with chrome exterior trim and a towing package.

Upgrading to the SRT or Trackhawk trims adds special 20-inch alloy wheels, high-performance braking, and a sport-tuned suspension. The Trackhawk also adds black exterior trim.

The base powertrain for the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 295 horsepower. The Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit trims offer a 5.7-liter V-8 engine that delivers 360 horsepower, while the SRT trim gets a 6.4-liter V-8 engine that generates 475 horsepower. The Trackhawk trim vehicle tops out the Jeep Grand Cherokee's power with a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that delivers 707 horsepower.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee's base engine has plenty of power for the everyday driver. This engine easily propels the vehicle around town and down the highway. If you like an extra punch of power, any of the V-8 engine options will get you to where you want to go. No matter which engine you have under its hood, this SUV has impressive towing capabilities. When equipped with the towing package and the V-6 engine, the vehicle can pull up to 6,200 pounds, and the V-8 engine can tow 7,200 pounds.

The regular Jeep Grand Cherokee model has two rows of seats and room for five, and the new L model adds a row and has room for up to seven people. The cabin is sleek and modern, with cloth upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel in the base model. Moving up through the trims adds leather upholstery, heated first- and second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel.

The Laredo trim has a 7-inch touch screen, a six-speaker stereo, and an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto option. The Limited trim adds an 8.4-inch touch screen, makes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard, and comes with a Wi-Fi hot spot. The Trailhawk trim has an upgraded stereo, and if you upgrade to the Summit trim, you'll get a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo.

Every 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a rearview camera, antilock brakes, a blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert. The ProTech II package adds a full-speed forward collision warning and automatic braking to the Overland trim. It also comes with lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and adaptive cruise control. A parallel and perpendicular parking assist feature also comes with this package. Upgrading to the Summit trim makes these optional safety features standard.
