The 2024 Ram 1500 sets the bar for other full-size pickup trucks. Not only does this vehicle look and act like a rugged pickup, but it also has the power to back up its performance. Inside the cabin, the vehicle offers refinement and comfort. Trim Levels (Exterior)

The Tradesman trim starts the 2024 Ram 1500 lineup with 18-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, and heated, power-adjustable side mirrors. The Big Horn trim comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and fog lights, while the Rebel trim has LED headlights and taillights, more aggressive styling elements, and upgraded shocks. The Laramie trim is more luxurious with upgrades in the cabin, and the Longhorn trim comes with 20-inch wheels, side steps, and a power-release tailgate. Stepping up to the Limited trim adds power-deployable running boards. The new TRX trim offers 18-inch wheels, all-terrain 35-inch tires, and a full-size spare tire.

Engine (Power)

The base engine for the 2024 Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 305 horsepower. This engine comes standard with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to boost fuel economy and acceleration. A 5.7-liter V-8 engine generates 395 horsepower. An optional turbodiesel 3.0-liter V-6 engine churns out 260 horsepower and generates 480 pound-feet of torque. The new TRX trim has a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that delivers an impressive 702 horsepower.

Performance

Maximum towing power for the 2024 Ram 1500 tops out at 12,750 pounds, which is more towing capacity than many other pickups in its segment. When you need to take an off-road adventure, the Rebel and the TRX trim vehicles have the equipment to tackle rough terrain.

Interior

The 2024 Ram 1500 has room for up to six people, and the cabin features high-quality materials and many luxury upgrades. While the Tradesman trim features vinyl upholstery, the Big Horn trim comes with cloth seats and heated front seats. Upgrade to the Laramie trim for driver's seat memory settings, ventilated front seats, and leather upholstery, or the Longhorn trim for reclining and heated rear seats.

Drivers will find plenty of technology features in the Ram 1500. The entry-level model has a 5-inch touch screen, but a step up to the Big Horn adds the 8.4-inch touch screen and the option for the 12-inch touch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come with the Big Horn trim and above, and the Longhorn trim adds satellite radio and navigation. The large 12-inch touch screen is a standard feature in the Limited trim, along with a wireless charging pad.

Safety Features

Every 2024 Ram 1500 vehicle has a rearview camera, but upgrading to the Laramie trim adds advanced driver aids such as forward collision warning with mitigation. The Big Horn and higher-level trims also come with front and rear parking sensors. If you proceed to the Limited trim, you'll appreciate the blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert. Depending on the trim, a head-up display is on the options list. You can also benefit from lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, a surround-view parking camera, and automatic high-beam headlights.
