4 Fun Spring Activities You Can Drive to Near Woodstock, VA

1. Vintage in the Valley Festival

Each year Strasburg, 11.5 miles from Woodstock, hosts the fabulous Vintage in the Valley Festival on April 1 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The town comes alive with over a hundred vendors selling antiques, vintage goods, and unique handmade arts and crafts. There are demonstrations, art exhibitions, live music, and plenty of delicious food.
Pick up an event map on Strasburg Square at 216 East King Street and sip a glass of Virginia wine from the Star in the Valley Winery in the Wine Garden. Please only drink if you’re an adult, take it easy and be responsible, and don’t drink and drive. Luckily there are carriages to all the event spaces scattered throughout the town.

2. Every Child Matters Outdoor Celebration

Pile the kids in the car and head to W.O. Riley Park at 540 Park Avenue in Woodstock on April 22 for tons of free kid-friendly fun between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Every Child Matters Outdoor Celebration. Hang out with Mini Mouse and Nemo, hop around on the bounce house, play exciting games, create beautiful arts and crafts, and fill your tummies with yummy hot dogs and snow cones.

3. Woofstock

Woofstock on April 22 at the Larry D. Bradford Fairview Park Dog Park on Fairview Avenue between 2 and 5 p.m. is a special spring event for you and your four-legged friend.
Bring Fido and enjoy the day by joining the fun doggy competitions, watching your pup run around and play in the park, and learning more about your canine’s health from various vendors. Please help the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter with dog food, toys, blankets, or a monetary donation.
